The Reina Valera, also called the Casiodoro de Reina Bible or the Bear Bible, is one of the first translations of the Bible into Spanish.
It was translated and published for the first time in 1569 by Casiodoro de Reina, after twelve years of intense work, and later put under review by Cipriano de Valera. The latter devoted more than 20 years of his life to revising the Bible and published the revision in 1602.
